Fun, fun, fun! That’s what comes to mind with I think of Jelyssa and Brett’s Acadia National Park engagement session! These two got engaged just weeks before their vacation to Bar Harbor, and I was lucky enough to capture the special time in their life.

Their trip to Maine had been planned for quite some time, but little did Jelyssa know that Brett planned it as a way to celebrate their engagement. Their fun-loving, relaxed nature made their session so enjoyable and a true pleasure to photograph. Laughs, jokes, and lots of hugs and kisses made this session extra special and memorable for this newly engaged couple.

I chose to take them to a few different locations in Acadia National Park so they could get a real feel for the area. We met at Jordan Pond where the foliage was just breathtaking. I think when people think of Acadia, they think ocean, but there is so much more to see here. I wanted to share those places with Jelyssa and Brett.

After exploring Jordan Pond and the trails around it, I took them to the carriage roads. The carriage roads in Acadia are some of the most breathtaking features of the park and so unique. Perfectly groomed gravel roads that are strictly for pedestrians, bicyclists, and horse goers, it’s a magical experience.

To finish off their session we went to the cliffs on Ocean Drive to capture the sunset! It was a gorgeous clear evening and mother nature did not disappoint with the faint cotton candy skies.

Check out all of the photos from their session below and let me know which is your favorite location!
