Chris & Kacie’s Bar Harbor Proposal | Bar Harbor Surprise Proposal
Proposing, the ultimate sign of love and faith in a relationship. For Chris and Kacie, a moment that was 6 years in the making.
Chris reached out to me a few weeks before his vacation up to Bar Harbor with the plan to propose to his girlfriend Kacie. Whenever I open an email that starts with: “I plan to propose to my girlfriend while on vacation and I would like you to photograph it,” my heart gets giddy. I think anyone that gets proposed to would love to have it photographed. It’s such an emotion filled event and to have something to look back on and re-live the moment is just the best.
Chris knew he wanted to propose in Bar Harbor before dinner, but he had never been to Mount Desert Island and needed some guidance. That’s where I came in. Peak season on a Friday night in August makes it tricky to get a private and intimate place to propose all within walking distance to town. Luckily living here full-time allows me to scope out locations ahead of time, get a feel for how busy things are, and make sure it’s the perfect spot for my clients. After sending some photos to Chris for approval of the location, we were good to go and ready for the big day.
Chris was lucky to be traveling in a group of 6, so with some help from his friends he got Kacie to the spot at the perfect time for him to pop the question.
