Sam & Zack’s Acadia Elopement | Acadia National Park
Picture this… Sam dressed to the nines in a Hayley Paige wedding gown, Zack in a crisp grey suit looking as dapper as ever, and their backdrop, Acadia National Park and Sand Beach. Can you imagine it? Good, because it was even BETTER than you can imagine!
I remember so vividly Sam getting out of her car and walking towards me in the sand beach parking lot. I was FLOORED. I don’t always see very formal dresses for weddings here in Acadia, and when I tell you this was one of the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen, on the most beautiful bride ever, it was just the perfect match.
We headed to the beach on the overcast afternoon and people couldn’t help but stare. The juxtaposition of families in their bathing suites and towels while Sam and Zack walked by in their wedding attire was so fun to witness, they truly were a vision and you could feel their excitement.
We found a quiet space at the end of sand beach for Sam and Zack to perform their intimate wedding ceremony and it was the perfect start to their adventurous elopement. They chose to prioritise experience and adventure on their day and they did just that.
After exploring some of their favorite spots around the park, both in Bar Harbor and on the Quietside of the island, Sam and Zack chose a hike to end their day. Maybe not the view we were hoping for as the fog rolled in, and quickly I might add, but it added to the adventure. The mysterious feel of sitting in the clouds made the finale of this elopement one I won’t forget.
Opt For Epic is run by Taylor Paige Dieng with the help of her husband, Kareem Dieng. Taylor and Kareem live on Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park year round. They believe that bringing people into nature and on epic adventures is the best way to capture true love, and also the most fun!
